This year we're heading to Coniston for our annual Lake District weekend. It should be a fantastic weekend. We'll be guests of Coniston Sailing Club and will have access to their facilities for the weekend including a well stocked bar and Saturday night BBQ. Camping will be at Coniston Hall camping site next to the club, we will have a separate field reserved just for us.
There will be an informal gathering in the Club Bar on Friday night and on Saturday there will be a BBQ.
Safety boat cover will be provided and you can securely store your boat at the Sailing Club for the weekend.
There's no need to go sailing if you don't fancy it. The campsite has direct access to the lake, Coniston village is a short walk away and the rest of the Lake District is on your doorstep.
How much is it?
For the BBQ on Saturday night and use of the Coniston Sailing Club for the weekend, it's just:
- £15 per adult
- £9 for Juniors (6-18)
- Free for 5s and under.
- There's also a £10 fee for every boat you're taking.
Please pay via the Otley Sailing Club website when you book.
For camping please pay in cash at the site, the charges are as follows per night;
- Adults £10
- Vehicles £2
- Children £5 (aged 3 to 15 years)
- Motorhomes (including two people) £20
- Canoes £1
- Boats £2 (although if you're leaving your boat at Coniston Sailing Club this charge won't apply).
Please note they don't have electric hook-ups on site.
On arrival a £10 cash deposit is required for a barrier card to access the site. This is refunded on departure when the barrier card is returned. Unfortunately the campsite cannot take card payments. The nearest FREE cash machine is in Hills Garage in Coniston (the Post Office)
Boats
Please take your own boats, we won't be taking Club boats for the weekend.
