Disability Awareness Course

 

RYA Sailability's Awareness training programme is to a national recognised standard. It is designed to change attitudes and awareness throughout the sailing community. All volunteers and Instructors are encouraged to attend a course.

 

This one day course provides the opportunity to learn and ask questions in a safe environment. There is no test or pass or fail - the emphasis is on 'awareness' of disability and alleviating fear of working with people with a range of disabilities.

The day will involve participation in group activities and some lectures. A course booklet will be provided along with a certificate.

Bring your lunch - tea and coffee will be provided
