Training course leading to RYA powerboat level 1 and 2 certification. Course provided by approved RYA instructors using club facilities. 

Course structure:

Thursday  4 February 2016 (Evening) - Theory Session
Saturday  6 February  2016 (Daytime) - Practical Session
Thursday 11 February 2016 (Evening) - Theory Session
Saturday 13  February 2016 Daytime) - Practical Session
Thursday 18  February 2016 (Evening) - Theory Session
Saturday 20 February 2016(Daytime) - Final Practical Session and Assessment

The RYA Level 2 course is designed to allow Powerboat drivers to develop basic skills and competencies. An outline of the course can be found on the RYA website at:

All club powerboat drivers must hold a RYA Level 2 qualification.


Course cost:  £100 to members (£200 to non-members) which includes the RYA photocard certificate and the RYA Start Powerboating Handbook.

Junior members over 12 may also take this course, but will have an age endorsement on their certificates stating that they must drive with a qualified adult in a powerboat boat until they are over 16 years of age.
