Series Dates: Wednesday evenings November & December We race Wednesday evening when conditions are favourable and the spirit is willing. In the dark this means a steady light breeze !
Start time: 18:30 pm, (but this is subject to variability if other events are taking place.) So people start to turn up at about 5:30.
How long do we race? Typically we'll either do a 30-45 minute-ish race
Is it serious racing? Definately not! But we do take safety seriously so lights on the boat and on your buoyancy aid are compulsory. A safety boat will be on the water for these night races.
We're just a bunch of friends who enjoy chasing each other around the cans in our boats. Sure we more or less follow the official racing rules but honestly everyone is very welcome to come and join in - whatever your age, or sailing experience. The more boats we can get out the more fun it is for everyone. We're all more than happy to point newcomers in the right direction.
Afterwards: coffee & biscuits in the club house while we warm up and debate who actually went the right way around the course.

Series Dates: Sundays in January & February We race Sunday afternoons when conditions are favourable and the spirit is willing.
This is different to our usual Sunday racing - Team Racing is short course races in teams of two double-handed boats. Two teams race at a time with the aim of making sure your team-mate does not finish last
Is it serious racing? Definately not! The aim is to sharpen our skills & knowledge of the racing rules in a short race format. We're all learning so come along and join in the fun
Afterwards: coffee & biscuits in the club house while we warm up and debate who actually got the rules right this time.
NOTE: for this kind of racing to work we need to know in advance who is coming out to play. We'll be needing an umpire & a start boat.
